Star Cruises, a cruise line centered in Hong Kong, has interested to open a new route that stop in Surabaya. According to Sammy Chan, Assistant Vice President Business Development of Star Cruises, the cruisers which may enter Surabaya are SuperStar Virgo (1,870 passengers capacity), SuperStar Libra (1,480 passengers capacity), SuperStar Aquarius (1,529 passengers capacity), and Star Pisces (1,287 passengers capacity). They natively inhabit the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang and Gili Dasami, in Indonesia. Their average weight is 70 kilograms, with 2-3 meters in length. It is destiny for the tropics to have biodiversity more than the subtropics or the poles. It is too for Indonesia. There are many ecosystems here; mangrove, sea, shore, savanna, grassland, and so on, which each have its own biodiversity. Indonesian flora is a part of Indo-Malay that live (beside in Indonesia) only in India, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Philippine. And we call “Malaysiana group” for the flora growing specifically in Malaysia, Philippine and Indonesia.

Keeping perkutut (Geopelia sp.) as pet is a quite prestigious hobby in Indonesia. Javanese folk has been doing that for centuries. The number of perkutut lovers itself has increased year by year, from common people to the nobility ones. Until these days, a tradition like sitting ensemble and hear this bird sings while enjoying a simple serving still flourish. Maybe you ask me then, what is so special about this 0.14 pound creature?

World Trade Center (WTC) Surabaya hingga sekarang ini masih dikenal sebagai pusat perdagangan ponsel di kota buaya, walau belakangan banyak mal juga memberikan ruangnya terhadap perdagangan kebutuhan ”wajib” warga kota ini. Hingga saat ini misalnya, sudah tercatat tidak kurang dari empat mal yang menyediakan ruang untuk bisnis HP, mulai Plaza Marina, Hi-Tech Mall, Royal Plaza, sampai yang berdiri belakangan seperti BG Junction.

Sebagai insan komunitas film, Infis banyak dihuni oleh sineas (indie) muda, terutama mereka yang kuliah di Surabaya. “Namanya saja komunitas film indie Surabaya,” seloroh Renzy, mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Unair yang didaulat sebagai PR di Infis.
