Seawater therapy called Thalasso

Everyday I work for clients. Sometime do things I don’t want to do is quite stressful. I must take a breath for a while. Already I took my two days of my official leave. But it was all for maintaining my house, not for relaxing myself. I think I need to take the other leave this year (before it expired). I don’t know what I am going to do, but recently I want to take a massage so bad.

Only by watching someone get massaged, I felt relax and sleepy. Alpha condition! But of course I need to experience it myself if I want to gain a real fit condition. So I’ve browsed it all on Google. From Thailand massages, Japanese spas, a simple creambath, to a thalasso therapy.

Thalasso? The name sounds weird, huh?

Thalasso means sea. Hence, thalasso therapy is a medical treatment based on seawater. I don’t know how effective this reducing my stress. However, I heard the technique was developed in 19th century in France. They believed elements of magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, and iodide found in seawater can be absorbed through the skin.

One of spa resorts who serve this kind of therapy is Thalasso Balneo. They serve either solo or couples, friends or family, man or woman, all the range of ages.

The great thing is, thalasso therapy is supported by interesting vacation packages. Imagine, turquoise blue ocean on one side, and the mountains of Pyrenees on the other. It happens at Thalasso Cote Basque. This would be good combination of relaxation and fitness program.

Or, you can do water sports at Biarritz Thalassotherapy. The powerful ocean waves make the spa resort Biarritz a hub of European surfing most popular worldwide. I checked it via Google Earth. Cool.

They offer Thalasso Pornic too. This is nothing to do with porn stuffs :). The packages are designed to relearn how to look after yourself. Usually the food there is designed in a balanced and respects the principles of dietetics.

Interesting, huh? The problem is, France is far away. Is it enough to stay there only during days on weekend? Note, I don’t want to go there in the year end which means on holydays. Because it won’t be relaxing anymore in the middle of the crowd, will it?

Thalasso, thalasso. Ah, I’ll think about it later. (God, I really love the sea.)

  3. I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A small number of my blog audience have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any reomdmencations to help fix this issue?
