Not only the governments of the West, the media is also picky when it comes to muslim issues. Regard, those are what media covered a day before hashtag #‎ChapelHillShooting became trending topic on Twitter‬. It never cease to amaze me. Not covering the slaughter of muslims in non U.S. countries is one thing. But ignoring the slaughter inside the U.S.? I mean, what the f*ck, Man!

They always say, “We are all human being. Every life matters. Muslims life matters. Black people life matters. Bla bla bla.” If so, why the term “terrorist” seems to be only for muslims from media’s point of view?

Fortunately, we live in the era where information doesn’t come only from those media. Generally, we have a variety of channels. It’s important to use our critical sense to interpret the information that we read or listen.

Let’s hope this new episode of horrific violence would not fuel hatred among communities. Muslims or not muslims should all be on the page in front of the killings of innocent people. We live in an historic moment where every episode is culture-related.

Be critical, be rational. Leave hatred and violence behind. This should be the approach in cases like this one. Condolences for the families of the three students. Regardless your religion and theirs, they could be friends.
